Linus mayes

Alumnus

Linus has completed a Bachelor of Electrical and Computer Systems Engineering, with a strong focus on renewable energy. Through his studies, Linus learned to appreciate how important a sustainable energy grid is, and hopes to make valuable contributions to this sphere of the energy industry over his career.

In his spare time, Linus can usually be found dancing poorly, swimming, or waging war against the weeds in the backyard.

Melinda krebsz

Alumnus

Melinda has completed a M.Sc. in Chemical Engineering. She was working in industrial and academic research in different countries (Austria, Australia, France, Hungary and Germany). She is now focusing on her Ph.D. and working on next-generation technologies for the electrosynthesis of ammonia from renewables. As a result of the high energy demand of the current ammonia production method, more than 1% of the world’s total energy is consumed in the process. She hopes to find a more environmentally friendly and more economically viable way to produce ammonia, thereby making it available for use as a sustainable fuel, a renewable feedstock for the chemical industry and a renewable fertiliser for agriculture.

Melinda loves nature therefore, she tries to spend as much time as she can outdoors. She enjoys trekking, snorkelling and dancing. She loves traveling and has visited 71 countries and plans to visit more.
