Kicking-off the Year: MEC Induction Night

Monash Energy Club kicked off the semester and the year in the perfect way, welcoming new and returning members to the club. The night began with an overview of MEC’s history, origins, mission, sponsors and upcoming events in the year, followed by introductions to the executive team.

Following this, members had the chance to meet the executive team and connect with their respective department groups, discussing their roles, goals and how they can contribute throughout the semester.

And, of course, we had fun! The night wrapped up with delicious pizza, a round of trivia (wherein everyone’s attention to the presentation was judged ahaha), a paper plane competition, and the magic carpet game.

It was absolutely amazing to see so many enthusiastic faces, and we absolutely can’t wait for all the exciting events and collaborations that lie ahead in the semester and the year! Looking forward to events with new committee members as well as new students excited to explore the energy sector.

The induction night was made everyone felt part of the MEC community.
